The Judicial Academy of the Maldives Begins a Special Seminar on the Penal Code

The Judicial Academy of the Maldives has begun a special seminar on the Penal Code of the Maldives in Nilandhoo of Faafu Atoll.

The seminar which is being attended by 34 magistrates from Alifu Alifu, Vaavu, Meemu, Faafu, Dhaalu and Thaa Atoll will discuss the enforcement of the Penal Code and share knowledge and experiences.

Justice Uz. Abdul Rauf Ibrahim and Judge of the Criminal Court, Uz. Adam Arif are facilitators of the seminar which began on 3rd November.

The Judicial Academy of the Maldives was instituted by the Supreme Court to provide continuing judicial and legal education and training programs to the judges, magistrates, attorneys and staff of the judiciary.

Programs lined up by the Judicial Academy include academic symposiums, colloquiums, workshops, seminars, study tours, orientation and induction programs.

The seminar in Nilandhoo will conclude on 6th November.
