Staff Trained on Mail Management Module before its Supreme Court Launch

Work is in progress to develop the Judiciary of the Maldives as a paperless sector which relies on information technology.  In this respect the Supreme Court of the Maldives is currently preparing to implement the mail management module of the Maldives E-Courts Management System (MEMS). A training session for the staff of the Supreme Court was held yesterday on the Mail Management Module. 15 members of the court took part in the training session held yesterday which was carried out by the IT team of the Department of Judicial Administration.

All incoming documents to the Court will be managed through the mail management module. All documents received will be processed through entry, forwarded to the relevant sections, and replies sent will be monitored while numbers will be assigned to all documents dispatched from the office and all documents will be scanned and uploaded to the system.

The Employ Information System (EIS) within MEMS is currently being used by the Supreme Court of the Maldives. This is a module created to maintain all records of the staff.
