Justice Uz. Abdullah Didi has been Assigned as Chief Judge of the High Court

The Judicial Service Commission of the Maldives decided today to assign Justice Uz. Abdullah Didi as Chief Judge of the High Court of Maldives. Justice Abdullah Didi was assigned to the post of Chief Judge of the High Court of Maldives by a secret ballot held at the Judicial Service Commission today to select a candidate for the position of Chief Judge of the High Court. The assessments process for judges of the High Court who applied for this position included interviewing and giving marks as according to the criteria set by the “Advisory Committee to the Commission on Assigning Judges” and based on the names in the report submitted by the Committee to the Commission.

Justice Uz. Abdullah Didi is educated in the field of law and justice. He took oath of a High Court Judge on 08 June 2015. Prior to being assigned as a Judge at the High Court he remained a Judge at the Criminal Court. His previous positions include a tenure as Judge at the Juvenile Court, Magistrate at GA Dhevvadhoo Magistrate Court, Magistrate at Kaafu Dhiffushi Magistrate Court and Judge at Court number 02. Justice Abdullah Didi has been a member of the Judicial Council and Vice President and member of the Judicial Service Commission.
